HVAC Actuators Glossary
HVAC Actuator Definitions
Actuator Air Position
The Actuator Air Position provide high performance and reliability for a wide range of industrial applications used for vent control. These units are crucial components for HVAC.See Honeywell Actuators
Actuator Ball Electric Valve
Contrasted with other valve types, the Actuator Ball Electric Valve offers many advantages. They provide high performance and reliability for a wide range of industrial applications.See Siebe Controls
Actuator Motor
Motor actuators vary widely in their design and applications. Some motor actuators are designed to operate in only two positions (fully open or fully closed). See Belimo Motors
Actuator Positioners Valve
The Actuator Positioners Valve provide a valve position proportional to a pneumatic input signal. All control valves need actuators to operate. See Invensys Valves
Actuator Solenoid
Solenoid actuators have a quick operation. Also, they are much easier to install than pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. However, solenoid actuators have two disadvantages. First, they have only two positions: fully open and fully closed. Second, they don’t produce much force, so they usually only operate relatively small valves. See Belimo Actuators
Air Rotary Actuator
The Air Rotary Actuator produces the rotary output torque while the control rack determines rotary stroke. Two angular contact bearings support the output shaft. See Siebe Actuators
Ball Valve Actuator
Ball valve actuators offer diverting and mixing flow patterns and often eliminates the need for two valves. See Barber Colman Valve Actuator
Control Valve Actuator
The Control Valve Actuator comes in a variety of types. They are known for their special features such as reliable, repeatable, and low in maintenance. Pneumatic and electric actuators are equally used. Food and beverages are primary applications for the control valve actuators. See Belimo Valve Actuator
Electric Actuator Valve
Electric actuator valves provide high performance and reliability for a wide range of industrial applications including water treatment, pulp and paper, chemical, petrochemical and power. See Johnson Actuators
Electric Rotary Actuator
Electric rotary actuators drive components rotationally via electromagnetic power from a motor. They typically provide control and indexing capabilities to allow multiple position stops along strokes. See Barber Colman Actuators
Electric Spring Return Actuator
The Electric Spring Return Actuators are engineered to provide efficient, high performance automation of quarter turn valves. Its compact design make it one of the most versatile electric actuators on the market today. See Invensys Actuators
Electro Hydraulic Actuator
Electro-hydraulic actuators include an integrated control module; a hydraulic manifold; and a power unit consisting of a motor, hydraulic pump and reservoir. See Barber Colman Actuators
Electric Spring Return Actuator
Electromechanical actuators provide high power density in a small package. They are idea for fixed and robot mounted applications. They are a high performance actuator, which consist of a SKF planetary roller screw. See Siebe Actuators
Electronic Actuator
Electronic actuators control the air supply, facilitating simpler and more economical implementation of other functions. See Belimo Actuators
Fire Damper Actuator
There is a variety of damper actuators. Some include the Electronic, Fire and Smoke, and Pneumatic Damper Actuators, designed by several different manufacturers. These products deliver power and flexibility. The Fire Damper Actuator has a quick installation and has low power consumption. See Invensys Actuators
Hydraulic Rotary Actuator
An economical, compact and lightweight high torque rotary actuator that can be used as an alternative to hydraulic cylinders. It features large, integral bearings that can support and rotate heavy loads without the need for additional, external bearings. See Honeywell Actuators
Mechanical Actuator
Mechanical actuators convert electrical signals into mechanical displacements. The conversion may be direct or may include an amplifier between the signal and the displacement. See Invensys Actuators
Pneumatic Valve Actuator
Pneumatic valve actuators accurately position control valves used in throttling applications. The positioner mounts integrally to the actuator housing. These rugged positioners provide a valve position proportional to a pneumatic input signal. See Honeywell Actuators
Pneumatic Rotary Actuator
Convert power into rotary motion. They may be used to operate conveyor gates, disappearing stops, or limited rotation valves. See Siemens Pneumatic Actuators
Pool Valve Actuator
The swimming pool valve actuators are valves with actuators formed for the automated pool system. It is suggested you do not change the position of the valve by hand. Instructions for the pool valve actuator are specific in helping with the complete installation of your system. See Siebe Actuators
Valve Actuator Hydraulic
Gas/Hydraulic Valve Actuators' power source is supplied by a high pressure gas and are readily adaptable to all rising stem valves. The Valve Actuator Hydraulic has a direct connection to valve stem and the valve operation is often used in gas/transmission pipelines. See Belimo Actuators
3 Actuator Electric Valve Way
The 3 Actuator Electric Valve have limited switches for open and closed standards. These actuators are equipped with manual override and mounted on PVC valves. See Belimo Actuators
